MARTA, the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority
MARTA is a special system which provides bus and railway service. It’s used as the airport terminus on the south side of the Red and Gold lines. MARTA is situated near the luggage claim zones, it is also available on the west side of the main Domestic terminal.

MARTA travelling tips
As the station is located at Hartsfield-Jackson Domestic terminal, it’s better to plan how to get there if you’re arriving to the international one. Passengers are offered several variants. For instance, you can use a complimentary transfer that runs every 15 minutes and which can be found on the first floor at the international terminal. It’ll take you right to the luggage claim area at the domestic terminal. Another convenient option is to travel by a Plane Train which will take you to the required destination in a matter of minutes.

MARTA timetable
There are two lines which operate at the station: Red line and Gold one. The lines’ frequency is 10-20 minutes..
Red Line operates from 4 am to 1 pm and makes such stops:
- North Springs
- Sandy Springs
- Buckhead
- Arts center
- Midtown
- North avenue
- Civic Center
- Dunwoody
Gold line working hours: from 4 am till 1 pm and includes the following stops:
- Doraville
- Brookhaven
- Lenox
- Lindberg center
- Arts center
- Midtown
- Five Point
- Garnett
- West End
- Oakland city
- East Point
There is only one MARTA bus (191) operating at the Atlanta airport. If you need to go to Clayton County or the Justice Center, you should use its route, which will get you to the destination on time. Working hours: from 5 am to 1 am. All vehicles are adapted for wheelchair access also MARTA mobility program is available for people with disabilities.
MARTA Rates
Travelers should purchase a long-term use Breeze card, which allows passengers to board MARTA transportation services multiple times (4 transfers in a 3-hour period). The regular fare for it is $2.50 and can be purchased at the vending machine at the RideStore or booked online in advance.
